1. Front Street Water Main: Today at approximately 9:30 a.m., crews will be flushing portions of the newly installed water main on Front Street. This flushing is necessary in order to test the mains and prepare them for active service. Please check your water before using it to ensure that it has cleared from the flushing, should any discoloration occur. The DPW estimates the flushing to take approximately one hour to complete. 2. The Hopkinton Health Department announced that mosquitos carrying West Nile Virus and EEE have been found in Hopkinton. 1. Update from Doug Lack: “Yesterday I saw my surgeon,(PA) actually, and I was given the go-ahead to do outpatient PT. (I start Friday morning.) Today I was released from VNA care! I drove for the first time yesterday...just a short drive, and it felt o.k. NO long treks for a while. I am using a cane, however bring my crutches with me just in case I need extra support. PT was prescribed for 6-8 weeks twice a week. I will still be doing PT when school is back in session in late August. I am still very tired from the Anemia but hope to keep building my strength.
