Being as it is not a weekday, this is our special weekend edition of 5 Things We Think You Need to Know a Bit Early for the upcoming week or two. Hopefully, it will offer you a head start on your planning and offer you some fodder for water cooler conversation. 1. The 14th annual Michael's 5K Run/Walk will take place on Oct. 22 at the Hopkinton Common, Route 135. Registration begins at 10 a.m. and the race starts at noon.
