Is the world safe from terrorism a year after Osama Bin Laden's death?

A year ago, Osama Bin Laden was found in a Pakistani complex and was killed by U.S. Navy Seals.  But according to the Boston Herald, Pakistan still harbors some of America's biggest enemies.  "What is striking, say analysts, is how little has changed in Pakistan a year after U.S. special forces burst into a large house in Abbottabad... and shot bin Laden dead," the article says.  What do you think? Center School, Wild Weather Are 2011's Biggest Stories

As Hopkinton Patch celebrates our one-year anniversary, we thought this would be a great time to look back at the biggest stories of the year.

This year the single biggest storyline on Patch was the Center School project. Starting well before the launch, planning for a new school on Fruit Street had been underway. Patch jumped right into the middle of it and we had some great blogs from people in support of and against the plan. Ultimately the vote for the school failed in March, but since then school leaders have been working to put together a new plan to deal with the historical Center School that currently houses kindergarten and first grade. We will continue to keep you updated as this progresses…
