UPDATED: Hopkinton Man Arrested for Assault on 10-Year-Old

The following information was supplied by the Hopkinton Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

At 6:22 last night, officers from the Hopkinton Police Department responded to a call for a domestic incident on Fenton Street. The caller reported that his 10-year-old son was being assaulted by his ex-wife's boyfriend. Police Responded to the incident and arrested Barry E. Posternak, 48, of 15 Fenton St. Posternak was charged with assault and battery along with assault and battery of a minor. According to the District Attorney's office, when police arrived on the scene they observed a red welt on the boys neck and arrested Posternak at that time. Posternak was arraigned today and had his bail set at $500, with conditions of no assault and a restraining order. According to the police report, the boy's father was out of state at the time …

Friday, April 20 5:51 a.m. Police stopped a car on Washington Street and arrested Francisley Moura, 34 from 31 Dow Street in Framingham for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.  6:51 After receiving a complaint of a domestic dispute on Washington Street, police arrested Lidiane DeSouza, 22 from 59 Exchange Street in Milford for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.   Saturday, April 21 6:41 a.m.: Police arrested Armando Rubi, 39 from 194 Holliston Street in Framingham for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

Police Log: Assault and Battery Arrest, Gunshots

Monday, Feb. 13 10:53 a.m.: Police arrested Samuel Justice, 39, of 44 Burnap Rd., and charged him with assault and battery. Police said the alleged assault occurred during a domestic dispute.  4:10 p.m.: A Marked Tree road resident called police when she found her front door open and lights on upon coming home. Police checked the house and determined it was all clear.  6:48 p.m.: A Central Street resident reported hearing gunshots in her backyard.

Police Log: Assault and Battery Arrest, Suspicious Males in Costume

Thursday, Feb. 2 1:05 a.m.: The Hopedale Police Department received a call about two suspicious males walking down School Street in Hopkinton. The Hopedale police were told the men were “dressed like the grim reaper”. Hopkinton police checked the area but were unable to find the suspicious people. 8:40 a.m.: A police officer responded to a fire alarm on Hayden Rowe Street. The alarm went of because of a cooking issue. 8:55 a.m.: A caller reported a minor crash on West Main Street. The people involved had exchanged information and left by the time an officer arrived. 11:12 a.m.: The Hopkinton Police Department assisted the Hopkinton Fire Department with a fire alarm on Main Street. 1:38 p.m.: An officer followed up on a report of theft from…

Police Log: Assault and Battery, DUI Arrests

Jan. 23 11:51 a.m.: A student reported losing an iPod touch while walking from Holliston High School to Table Top Pizza. 2:22 p.m.: Police responded to a domestic disturbance on Washington Street. Officers arrested William Tolan, 46, who resides at 925 Washington Street in Holliston on charges of assault and battery and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.   6:39 p.m.: A caller reported a motor vehicle had struck a pole on Lowlad Street and continued driving. Police located the vehicle after a second crash and arrested Laura Kennedy, 56, who lives at 141 Mitchell road in Holliston on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and leaving the scene of property damage.

Police Log: 'No Good' Neighbors, Domestic Assault

Wednesday, Dec. 21 12:23 a.m.: Ashland police requested Hopkinton police be on the lookout for a Chevrolet Trailblazer that almost hit an Ashland officer on a traffic stop. Hopkinton police were able to stop the vehicle on Main Street and Ashland police spoke with the driver. 12:41 a.m.: The fire department responded to a carbon monoxide alarm on Spring Street. 1:03 a.m.: A caller said she received emails saying that her neighbors at Pinecrest Village were "no good". The caller saw a vehicle that was parked in front of their unit and asked the police to check on it.
