1. Readers’ Choice Voting Starts Monday: You nominated your favorites over the past month, and starting Monday it will be time to vote. We had nominations in 18 of the 25 categories. The polls open at 6 a.m. on Monday so be sure to vote in as many as you feel comfortable with. 2. Pet of the Week: Monte is a very handsome boy who needs to go to special home where his people are home most of the time. Monte does well with cats and would love to live in a multi-greyhound household. For this retired hound, finding a retiree would be the perfect match for him. Monte gets overwhelmed in new situations so a consistent quiet life at home would be perfect for him. Monte would do best with experienced greyhound owners and other confident greyhounds …

A look back at some of the stories that topped patch over the past week.

At Patch, Sunday morning means that it’s time to take look back at this week in Hopkinton news. In Case you missed it, we had a lot of new stories on the site this week. We learned about some programs that the town has been working on and we talked to some great people around the town. At the Board of Selectmen meeting on Thursday they talked about merging the Hopkinton Fire Department together with the Ashland Fire Department. The conversation has been going on for a couple years and looks like the final phases of background research could be ready by the end of the year. We also had a fantastic piece about Dan Field who takes part in the Pan Mass Challenge every year to help raise money for the Jimmy Fund. Next week we have a lot of great content coming to you, including a profile on the woman who we picked as our social media page…
