This week we asked patch readers for the best liquor store in town, with only two choices the poll stayed relatively even for most of the week before Colella's got a boost in the final stretch.
It's Friday, and it's been a long week. You get out of work at 5 and you just want to go home, and relax with a nice cold drink. Where would you stop to pick up your favorite alcohol? For most Hopkinton Patch readers the answer is Colella's Supermarket right in the middle of downtown. Perhaps the reason many voters picked Colella's is because the store has been in town for so long, maybe it's because everyone in town knows Dale Danahy, but we would venture to say it's because you can pick up everything you need for the night. Find out what makes the 1,400 acre state park a favorite of readers in the MetroWest area.
In the first region-wide Best of Patch Readers' Choice contest we pitted local places where families could take a trip on the cheap. Staycations have been something that families turn to during economic downturns in order to save money. The focus of a stacation is to spend time with family like you would on a vacation, but while staying home. Everyone gets cabin fever sometimes though and because of that we wanted to help you get feedback from other Patch readers about where they like to go during their staycations. Hopkinton State Park had a late surge this week and ended up capturing nearly half of the vote. The park is open year round to visitors, during the summer it's a great place to swim in the reservoir or go for a walk on the 1,…
