Holliston Police Log: One Driver Stopped During Driving Ban

The following information was supplied by the Holliston Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, Feb. 7 2:46 a.m.: Officers from the Holliston Police Department assisted the Hopkinton Police Department with an alarm at Hopkinton High School. 1:07 p.m.: A resident reported a restraining order violation. The violation occurred when one person called the other’s cell phone. 8:13 p.m.: A caller from Kathryn Lane reported loud music at a neighboring house. An officer responded and spoke to the resident about the complaint. The officer did not hear any unreasonable noise. 10:10 p.m.: A caller reported a vehicle weaving and crossing the double yellow line on Washington Street. An officer spoke to the driver who reported she was looking for something on the floor. Friday, Feb. 8 3:12 a.m.: While checking Pinecrest Country Club, an …

Holliston Highway Department Prepares for Nemo

Town workers are mixing salt, filling sand and prepping trucks for the blizzard.

Work is underway at the Holliston Highway Department to get ready for blizzard Nemo. Some employees are busy getting the salt ready for the main roads. Others, like the driver in the video, or working on a sand and salt mixture for the secondary roads. Tom Smith, Highway Superintendent, said employees will begin some road preparation tonight and expect to hit the storm head-on tomorrow morning.
