Holliston K9 Unit Assists in Ashland, Hopkinton

Tuesday, April 16 4:59 a.m.: K9 Cesh and the Holliston Police Department assisted the Ashland Police Department with a search after a person broke into the Hess gas station. 10:06 p.m.: A caller from Rolling Meadow Drive reported that his doorbell had been rung several times. Several minutes late a second caller reported two youths running through yards in the area. An officer was able to speak with the youths and their parent. 11:33 p.m.: K9 Cesh assisted the Hopkinton Police Department with a search after a break-in on Pleasant Street in Hopkinton. The suspect was arrested by the Hopkinton Police Department. Wednesday, April 17 10:46 a.m.: A caller from Constitution Circle reported that a suspicious red van had been in the area on Monday…

Metal Pig Stolen, Police Look to Charge Man with Drunken-Driving

Wednesday, April 10 7:36 a.m.: A caller from Fairview Street reported a suspicious man walking through the neighborhood taking pictures of houses. 3:34 p.m.: A caller reported a group of youths in an SUV on Marilyn Street. The caller said one of the youths climbed on to the roof while the vehicle was moving. Thursday, April 11 6:40 a.m.: An officer from the Holliston Police Department checked on school bus pickups on Locust Street after calls regarding motor vehicle violations. No violations were observed. Friday, April 12 3:45 a.m.: A caller from Tea Party Lane reported that they woke up when they heard their garage door opening. Airlift Called For Woman Pinned by Tree

The emergency responders are at the incident on turner road.

Holliston Police Officers and Firefighters have responded to a report of an elderly woman being injured on Turner Road. According to scanner reports the woman is pinned underneath a large tree. It is also believed that the woman has suffered serious injuries. According to Fire Chief Michael Cassidy, the woman appeared to have been attempting to cut the tree with an axe when it fell. A neighbor overheard the woman calling for help while walking home from the bus stop. "The Fire Department initially dispatched the Rescue and Engine 1 to the scene, however crews were able to free her from underneath the tree, which was approximately ten inches in diameter, without the use of any additional tools or equipment," a release from the department …

Holliston Teen Arrested, Charged With Attempting to Commit a Crime

Monday, April 8 10:45 a.m.: A caller from Gorwin Drive reported a suspicious person knocking at their door. The caller said they then heard a smash coming from the back of the house. Officers responded and searched for two men who fled the scene of the break-in on foot. 1:37 p.m.: A caller from Marshall Street reported that his vehicles had been entered into on Sunday. There didn’t appear to be anything missing from the vehicles. 4:36 p.m.: Officers responded to a one-car crash on Andrew Lane. The operator left but a short time later his father responded and spoke to an officer and the homeowner regarding property damage. 5:34 p.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle on Washington Street. Wednesday, April 3 8:01 a.m.: Officers responded to a two-car crash at the intersection of Highland Street and Washington Street. Thursday, April 4 9:32 a.m.: A caller reported that five flags had been stolen from the Holliston VFW. 2:03 p.m.: An officer assisted the fire department with a brush fire on Marshall Street. 5:12 p.m.: An employee of Holliston Family Pharmacy reported a previous larceny by check. Cesh Joins the Holliston Police Department

Officers have been working with the new K9 unit since February.

The Holliston Police Department has added a new name to their rollcall, but this one is a little different: he has four legs. Cesh began training with Officer Matt Stone in February of this year after a fundraising drive allowed the Police Department to startup their K9 unit. “I’m used to getting out there and doing my own thing but to have him out there with me has been a completely different way of working,” Stone said.  “Reading him, getting to know him and getting to know his mannerisms and him getting to trust me is a work in progress every day.” In the short time Cesh (pronounced kesh) has been with the department he's been called upon to search several times, including yesterday’s break-in on Gorwin Drive. Homeowner Foils Break-In Attempt on Gorwin Drive

Two suspects were scared off when a Holliston resident confronted them in her Gorwin Drive home.

Officers from the Holliston Police Department and surrounding towns searched the Gorwin Drive area of Holliston after a caller reported two men had broken in to her home while she was inside. "One person knocked at the door to see if anyone was home, a common thing for burglars to do when they are checking houses, and the homeowner did not answer the door because she thought it was just a solicitor," Holliston Police Chief John Moore said. "Then she heard a crash coming from her back door." Moore said the two suspects broke in to a back door on the residence and the resident confronted them and scared them off. Monday, April 1 9:30 a.m.: A caller from Locust Street reported that $7 in loose change was stolen from their car overnight. 11:36 a.m.: While enforcing downtown pedestrian crosswalk safety, an officer stopped one vehicle and issued the driver a citation for failure to stop for a pedestrian. 4:45 p.m.: Three cars were involved in a crash on Concord Street at Kuniholm Drive. Tuesday, April 2 7:03 a.m.: A resident turned in a lost iPhone to the Holliston Police Department. 8:07 a.m.: A caller from Chamberlain Street reported that $3 in loose change was stolen from their vehicle overnight. Thursday, March 28 10:00 a.m.: A caller from Noel Drive reported a man who walked his dog and “repeatedly allowed the dog to defecate on his lawn.” 1:44 p.m.: A caller from CVS reported a shoplifter. Man Arrested After Car Trouble at Nick's

Monday, March 25 10:00 a.m.: A caller from Nick’s Central Garage reported a problem with a person picking up their vehicle. Officers responded and arrested Faghyner Dasilva, 32, of 1104 Washington St., Norwood on warrant charges. 7:42 p.m.: Two callers reported a dark sedan crossing the centerlines on Washington Street downtown. An officer responded and located the vehicle in the registered owners driveway.
