Woman Arrested After Attempting to Run Over Pedestrian

Wednesday, May 15 5:09 a.m.: A resident reported a tree down on East Main Street. An officer found the tree at the Ashland Town Line and was able to remove it from the roadway. 8:44 a.m.: An officer assisted the Boston Police Department at the Hopkinton Town Common. Several walkers were following the Boston Marathon route. 1:31 p.m.: An officer removed a basketball hoop and broken backboard glass from the roadway on Church Street. 2:02 p.m.: A caller reported that a man had just stopped at his house on Jackson Street and spoken to his daughter about a landscape quote. The family did not have an appointment with a landscape company. Officers were able to match down a TruGreen solicitor who matched the description given, but he said he had …

Hopkinton Woman Arrested After Alleged Domestic Assault

Wednesday, May 13 6:49 a.m.: A caller from Wood Street reported a suspicious silver Jeep had parked in front of her house. The caller said the people in the vehicle were shining a flashlight toward her house. When the caller closed the curtains they drove away. 7:10 a.m.: A caller reported what appeared to be a dead dog on the side of Hayden Rowe Street. The Animal Control Officer responded and removed the animal, which turned out to be a beaver. 10:49 a.m.: A woman went in to the Hopkinton Police Department to speak with an officer regarding a domestic incident. After taking a report officers arrested Diana M. Mettill, 57, of 5 Mayhew Ct. on charges of assault and battery. 2:40 p.m.: A caller from Huckleberry Road reported a suspicious …

Man Arrested After Break-In, Lost Child at Marathon Start

Friday, April 12 2:28 p.m.: A person went in to the Hopkinton Police Department to report stolen equipment from Mechanic Street. 6:02 p.m.: Officers responded to a hit and run crash on West Main Street. 6:55 p.m.: A driver was given a written warning for failure to keep right after rolling their over vehicle on Granite Street. No one was injured in the crash. Saturday, April 13 2:00 p.m.: An officer stopped an erratic vehicle that had left the town of Westborough. 3:08 p.m.: An employee from a gas station on West Main Street reported that a motorist had crashed in to one of the pumps then left the area. Officers stopped the vehicle and arrested Jordan Armando Cruz, 34, of 33 Juniper St., Lawrence. Cruz was charged with unlicensed operation…

Holliston Man Charged With Third OUI, Car Break-Ins Reported

Wednesday, March 27 8:19 a.m.: A caller from Spring Street reported a loose dog; at the same time a caller on Frankland Street reported a loose dog. The Animal Control Officer checked both locations but was unable to locate any loose dogs. Both dogs had been secured by their owners. 8:38 a.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle on Grove Street and spoke to the driver who was in possession a German license. 11:37 a.m.: A vehicle crashed in to a mail truck on Wood Street. 2:06 p.m.: Two people were hospitalized after a four-car crash on Hayden Rowe Street. 2:44 p.m.: A caller from Whirty Circle reported a suspicious person walking up and down driveways but not knocking on doors. Well it seems that Hopkinton is a place where people come to commit their crimes. Lucky us. I wonder if the town plans on doing anything to help out the police here? The population in Hopkinton is only going up, crime is as well - can we help the police out just a bit and maybe budget them some more $$$ ? Friday, March 1 9:31 a.m.: A caller from Davis Road reported that one of the residents returned home to find their apartment had been broken into and items were missing. Saturday, March 2 4:00 p.m.: An officer from the Hopkinton Police Department checked the West Main Street area for a vehicle that had been involved in larceny in Upton. 5:11 p.m.: An officer spoke with a person who was urinating in the rear lot of a business on West Main Street. Multiple Crashes Reported During Snowstorm

Tuesday, Jan. 15 4:50 p.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle on West Main Street and arrested Jamie F. Curran, 29, of 123 Hamilton St., Worcester. Curran faced warrant charges of operating an unregistered motor vehicle and operating with a suspended license. 5:36 p.m.: A caller reported that they were flowing a driver who involved in a crash that fled the scene. The vehicle was stopped in Upton. 9:53 p.m.: All units responded to Apple Tree Hill Road to assis the Hopkinton Fire Department with a house fire in the second floor. Two people were transported to Milford Hospital. Wednesday, Jan. 16 5:50 a.m.: A motor vehicle crashed in to a utility pole on Fruit Street. Thursday, Feb. 15 12:01 a.m.: A caller from Hayden Rowe Street reported that there were footsteps in the vacant apartment above hers. She called back to say that it was just the previous tenant retrieving their property. An officer responded and checked the apartment to make sure it was properly locked. 7:55 a.m.: A caller reported “construction debris” in the road near a construction site on West Main Street. When an officer checked the area it appeared to be dirt from a passing truck and was not a hazard. 9:37 a.m.: A caller reported that a bloodhound was loose on North Mill Street. Tuesday, Feb. 13 11:32 a.m.: An officer responded to a disabled motor vehicle with a flat tire on West Main Street. The vehicle operator had help from a dealer coming to assist with the tire change. 1:17 p.m.: An officer removed some barrels from the roadway on West Main Street. 3:51 p.m.: A caller reported a disabled motor vehicle on Cedar Street. Police Log: Difficult U-Turn, Kitchen Fire

Tuesday, Feb. 7 12:04 a.m.: An officer assisted a tractor-trailer that was trying to turn around on West Main Street. The truck was making a delivery to Price Chopper. 11:30 a.m.: The Hopkinton Police Department received a call about a fire alarm going off on Hayden Rowe Street. The Fire Department was notified; the fire alarm was coming from the kitchen. 12:46 p.m.: An officer notified Animal Control about an animal complaint at the high school.  3:25 p.m.: A detail officer was notified about a small dog running in and out of the road on West Main Street. An officer checked the area and did not find the puppy. 9:48 p.m.: An officer checked and spoke with the operator of a car on Rafferty Road.
