Police Log: Leap Day Snowstorm Part One

The following information was supplied by the Hopkinton Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, Feb. 29 1:26 a.m.: An officer checked a car parked on Hayward Street. 7:41 a.m.: A business owner on East Street reported that two bloodhounds from a neighboring street were loose. Animal Control was contacted and got in touch with the dogs’ owner. 9:13 a.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle because it wasn’t registered properly. The vehicle was newly acquired and still within the seven-day grace period. 12:02 p.m.: An officer checked a vehicle parked at a vacant house on Hayden Rowe Street. The operator was a wetlands consultant surveying the area for a prospective buyer. 3:46 p.m.: Officers responded to a car crash on West Elm Street. No injuries were reported. 8:28 p.m.: A caller reported that a jeep with a plow on the front was …

Overnight Hopkinton got hit with what feels like the first snowstorm since Halloween. Although School wasn't cancelled today we're hope you took advantage of the little bit of winter wonderland while it's here.  Maybe you built a snowman or maybe your children did snow angels.
