Police Log: Leap Day Snowstorm Part One

Wednesday, Feb. 29 1:26 a.m.: An officer checked a car parked on Hayward Street. 7:41 a.m.: A business owner on East Street reported that two bloodhounds from a neighboring street were loose. Animal Control was contacted and got in touch with the dogs’ owner. 9:13 a.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle because it wasn’t registered properly. The vehicle was newly acquired and still within the seven-day grace period. 12:02 p.m.: An officer checked a vehicle parked at a vacant house on Hayden Rowe Street. The operator was a wetlands consultant surveying the area for a prospective buyer. 3:46 p.m.: Officers responded to a car crash on West Elm Street.
