Violette S. Bowker, 86, died Wednesday, Jan. 23 at the Holden Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center, Holden, MA. She was the widow of the late Raymond E. Bowker, who died in December 1981. Born in Lowell, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Cecile (Dionne) Lauze. She was a member of the Hopkinton Historical Society and St. John's Altar Guild. She was well-known as a seamstress in the area. She is survived by her children William and wife Grace of Webster, Peter and wife Cheri of Hopkinton and Marie Mouradian and husband Steven of Holden. She also leaves seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held Monday, Jan. 28 at 9:00 a.m. from the Callanan Cronin Funeral Home. A funeral Mass will be …

Shannon was a true inspiration to all who knew her, full of grace, compassion and deep love. Despite her many medical challenges, she had an undeniable zest for life. She graduated from Lasell College with a degree in Early Childhood Education, and was an educator in every sense. Whether it was helping raise children, speaking in the medical community, or teaching us all how to see the beauty of life, Shannon used her life experiences as a means to help others. The Holliston resident had been a nurse at Rhode Island Hospital.
Allison L. Simpson, 89, of Holliston, passed away December 22. She was born in Boston and was a nurse, working in the children's ward in Rhode Island Hospital. She was also a baker in Wellesley. She was predeceased by her husband Gordon in 2010, and is survived by her four children and 2 grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 27 from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home. A service will take place in the funeral home on Friday, December 28 at 1 p.m., with burial to follow at Lake Grove Cemetery.

The Korean War veteran leaves behind a large family in Hopkinton.
Donald F. Hart, 80, died Monday, December 10. Born in Natick, he was a longtime resident of Hopkinton. After graduation from Natick High, he served in the Korean War. Upon completing his service, he became a master plumber, owning his own business, Hart's Plumbing and Heating. In Hopkinton, he volunteered his time with Youth Hockey, and was a member of the American Legion and Kiwanis Club. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Patricia, and six children: Dawn Ann Elder and her husband Paul of Hopkinton; Donald Hart Jr. and his wife Isabel of Hopkinton; Kathleen Williamson and her husband Steven of Hopkinton; Karen Ward of Framingham; James Hart and his wife Victoria of Hopkinton; and Jennifer Hart of Hopkinton. Renate (Rennie) Aschaffenburg Christensen, 83, died Friday, November 30. Born in Essen, Germany, she was a 36-year resident of Sherborn before moving to Holliston in 2000. She and her husband co-founded EN-R-GY Saver, Inc. in 1977. She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Robert, and is survived by 4 children, Bob and Linda Christensen of Holliston; Barbara Christensen of Ashland; Donna and Roger Dearth of Keene, NH, and Linda and Bill Wright of West Hartford, CT, and 7 grandchildren. Everett C. "Ted" Blois, Jr., 79, of Holliston, died November 9. Born in Framingham, he was lived in Holliston since 1964. He studied Geology, later worked as an accountant, and retired as a Maintenance Planner at Engelhard. He was an active member of First Congregational Church of Holliston, serving as Director of Sunday School, youth group leader, and sexton. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Lorraine, two sons and five granddaughters. He is buried at Lake Grove Cemetery.

The WWII vet was a lifelong resident of Hopkinton.
Joseph Pratt, 93, died October 31. A lifelong resident of Hopkinton, he was a graduate of Hopkinton High School. He served in the Army in WWII, and was married for 59 years to Mary (O'Brien) Pratt. In addition to his wife, he is survived by seven children, nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. His funeral will take place Tuesday, Nov. 6, at 9:30 a.m. from the Callanan Cronin Funeral Home. A funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. John the Evangelist Church at 10:30 a.m. Burial with military honors will follow in St. John’s Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are Monday, Nov. 5 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The New Haven resident will be buried in Fall River.
John Healy Duffy Jr., 57, died Oct. 27. Born into a family of 12 children, he was raised in Hopkinton. He later lived in New Haven, CT. He was a devout Catholic, attending St. Tarcisius School and Marian High School in Framingham. He worked as an accountant for Legionaries of Christ in New Haven. He is survived by his parents, Dr. John Healy Duffy Sr. and Mary Jo (Brennan) Duffy, as well as his many brothers and sisters. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, Nov. 2, at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, 5 Hillhouse Ave., New Haven, CT. Committal will be Saturday, Nov. 3, at 10 a.m., in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River, MA. Calling hours at the Callanan Cronin Funeral Home, are Thursday, Nov. 1, from 4 to 8 p.m.

Marie Fecteau-Evers, 69, died at home Sunday, October 14. Born in Framingham, she attended Framingham schools before ultimately graduating from Marymount College High School of London, England. She was a graduate of Boston School of Fashion Design, and went on to work for Mass Industries and New Balance Sportswear. She is survived by her husband, Robert Evers, as well as nieces, nephews and cousins. Her funeral will be held Saturday, October 20 at 9 a.m. from the Callanan Cronin Funeral Home. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist Church. Burial of cremains will take place in St. John‘s Cemetery at a later date. Calling hours at the funeral home are Friday, October 19 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Leonard Albert Levasseur Sr., 79, died at his home October 10. Born in Fall River, he was a graduate of Bradford Durfee College of Technology (now UMass Dartmouth) and Northeastern University. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War, and worked at US Army Labs of Natick for 33 years. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Ann, 5 sons and seven grandchildren. He was an active parishoner of St. Mary's in Holliston, volunteering in several capacities, including serving as first president of the parish council. Arrangements are being handled by Chesmore Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 15, at St. Mary’s Church of Holliston. Burial will take place at a later date.
