Review This: Carbone's Restaurant

The restaurant featuring American cuisine is located North of the center of Hopkinton but still draws a crowd.

Sometimes it can look lonely, Carbones Restaurant is located well away from the other businesses and restaurants in Hopkinton, but the parking lot is never empty. According to the Carbone's listing, the restaurant has been in business for more than 85 years and their specialties include eggplant and veal parm.  Have you eat at the restaurant, drank at the bar or had a party in their function room? Right a review on the Carbone's Restaurant directory listing and let others know what you think of the family restaurant located on route 85.

The restaurant is ok, no real innovation in food though, just real basics, they cater to an older crowd which is fine but if they don't begin to court the younger generation they will be out of business in 20 years because all their clientle will be gone. The eggplant and burgers are the best items on the menu, when it really should be their Italian food.   more ›

Review This: Hiller's Cleaners

Tell us what you think about the dry cleaner in the center of Hopkinton.

Business suits, leisure suits, pants suits, they all need to be cleaned occasionally. The question is where. Hiller's Cleaners on Main Street has been open for nearly a year now but no one has taken the time to review it on Patch.  Have you had your dry cleaning done at Hiller's? What did you think of the experience? Write a review on the Hiller's Cleaners directory listing to let others know how your experience was.

Review This: Berry Bon Bon

Frozen yogurt is all the rage, have you hopped on Holliston's newest trendy frozen treat store?

I scream you scream we all scream for... frozen yogurt? The new FroYo store Berry Bon Bon seems to have a constant flow of customers serving themselves ice cream and putting their favorite toppings on it, but no one has reviewed the new business on Patch yet. The set-up is unorthodox for a food service establishment, but having the option to portion your own dessert lets you keep control over your intake (or not). Have you tried the healthier substitute for ice cream? Leave a review on the business listing for Berry Bon Bon by clicking here.

Review This Hopkinton Price Chopper

It’s been more than a week since the grocery store opened on West Main Street; what have your experiences been like?

A town is often defined by what businesses the have and don’t have. For Hopkinton the association was always with smaller local retailers but Price Chopper is signifying some change to that image. When the store opened on June 21 shoppers seemed excited to be able to do their shopping without having to drive all the way to Milford. But now that the shine has worn off a little bit and the store has been given a once over by most shoppers in town we want to know what you really think about it. Will this chain grocery store change your life? Will you still keep doing your daily shopping at Colella’s? What do you like and dislike about Price Chopper? Review the business on their Holliston-Hopkinton Patch business listing by leaving a comment …

As my 9-year old says, "Fiske's is the best store in the whole world." Whenever you walk through the door, you are greeted with a smile, and often a free balloon for the kids or a chocolate sample for the adults! It is the best place for family games - not the commercial ones you get at Target - but the really fun, educational, and often simple ones that you can play over and over and never tire …   more ›

Review This: The Marathon Restaurant

After hearing that Hopkinton residents were looking for more feedback on local businesses, we're bringing back the Review This weekend feature.

In Hopkinton everything seems to be related to the marathon. There are paintings all over town hall, Kenyan gifts at Elmwood School and even a restaurant on the corner of Hayward Street and South Street. On Friday we featured a business review from Westborough Patch blogger and food reviewer Gary Kelley about the Marathon Restaurant. Hopkinton Patch readers also voted the restaurant as the best place to get a sandwich.  Unfortunately Marathon Restaurant still has no reviews on their page! If you've eaten there give your opinion on the page and give them a star rating. Click here to visit the Marathon Restaurant's listing and share your thoughts.

Haha, that's always my favorite part about restaurant openings, free samples! Have you reviewed Marathon on their page, Angela? The reviews on their stay toward the front of the site so people looking for a place to grab a bite can read what you have to say. http://hopkinton.patch.com/listings/the-marathon-restaurant   more ›

Review This: Angel’s Garden Center

It’s the drawing close to the spring planting season and we want to know what you think of Angel’s Garden Center.

Spring weather is in the air, the birds that left are starting to return and the sun is actually staying up past 5 p.m. but there is one thing missing, the smell of freshly blooming flowers. This is where Angel’s Garden Center comes in handy. The store is currently closed for the winter season, but according to their website they will be reopening on March 15 for the regular planting season hours. We felt like this is a great time to see what Hopkinton Patch users had to say about past visits to the 55-year-old business on West Main Street. Take a couple minutes to visit the Angel’s Garden Center listing and leave a review for new gardeners who might be looking for advice on where to shop this season.

Review This: Dynasty Restaurant

This Chinese restaurant on West Main Street is on of the first businesses you see coming into Hopkinton, tell us what your experience was like there.

Chinese Restaurants are like town commons, every town has one but most of the most people don’t know where it is. That’s not the case in Hopkinton though, The Dynasty Restaurant is located prominently on West Main Street right as you get off route 495. The restaurant serves sushi and other Asian cuisines all day, and they have an all you can eat lunch bufft. For the adults in town Dynasty also has a full service cocktail lounge. Have you visited Dynasty before? Share your review by clicking here and putting your thoughts online.

Review This: Colella's Supermarket

Do you do your shopping at Colella's Supermarket? Share your review with others in their listing page.

Colella’s Supermarket is one of the cornerstones of downtown Hopkinton and it has been for over 60 years but no one on Patch has reviewed it yet! The Main Street grocery store has been a part of many conversations recently; especially when it comes to the Main Street redesign plan. The grocery store has all sorts of groceries that you would need to go about your cooking; they also have a liquor department and deli. Do you do your shopping at Colella’s? Click here to go to the listing and let other Hopkinton Patch users know how you feel about the home-grown supermarket.
