What Was the Helicopter I Heard in Holliston This Morning?

MedFlight responded to transport one male to the hospital.

At 9:03 a.m. the Holliston Fire Department received a call for medical response needed on Cross Street. Paramedics and Events EMS responded to Electronic Recyclers International on Cross Street. "Based on the injuries to the worker, the decision was made to transport him to a trauma center by helicopter," a release from Holliston Fire Chief Michael Cassidy said. MedFlight landed at the FEMA location on Washington Street at 9:29 a.m. and the Providence resident was transported to Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. According to scanner reports the male was unconscious and had suffered a head injury.

UPDATE: Natick Man, 23, Injured in Motorcycle Crash on Summer Street in Holliston

The motocyclist, 23, was found down in the roadway with leg and head injuries, according to scanner report.

Update: 10:39 a.m. on May 22, Jake Anastas, 23, of 30 Porter Rd. in Natick, was transported to Tufts Medical Center Sunday night by MedFlight, according to Holliston Police Chief John Moore.  The Chief could not comment on Anastas' condition.    Update at 10:45 p.m. A motorcycle crash was reported at 9:42 p.m. at 28 Summer St. (Route 126). The driver from Natick, 23, was found down in the roadway with leg and head injuries, according to scanner report. Holliston Police and Holliston Fire are on the scene. A Medflight helicopter was requested. A MedFlight helicopter brought a Pilgrim Road woman to a Boston trauma center when her condition worsened after being injured in a fall.

When is MedFlight Called Into Action?

A Holliston woman was airlifted due to her serious condition on Tuesday.

When a Holliston woman needed urgent care on Tuesday, fire crews called Boston's MedFlight service, a helicopter ambulance capable of getting patients to a trauma center in under 10 minutes.  The 49 year-old woman had suffered previous injuries from a fall before she was airlifted to a Boston trauma center on Tuesday, Holliston Fire Chief Michael Cassidy said. Fire personnel who arrived at her home determined her condition was serious enough to warrant a MedFlight. A helicopter landed on Central Street to pick up the patient at one of Holliston's six predetermined landing zones.  It would take Holliston's ambulances more than 30 minutes to reach Boston's trauma center, but MedFlight can reach the same destination in a third of the time, …

Police Log: Injured Woman Airlifted from Central Street

The following information was supplied by the Holliston police department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

7:36 a.m.: Police investigated a narcotics violation on Hollis Street. 8:52 a.m.: Police responded after a car struck a telephone pole on Central Street.  4:56 p.m.: A Pilgrim Road resident called police requesting an ambulance. A MedFlight flew the injured woman from a landing zone at 600 Central Street.  7:09 p.m.: A resident on cedar street called police reporting that a person was soliciting window installation. Police checked the area but could not locate the person.

Woman Airlifted After Fall

A Holliston woman was airlifted Tuesday for unknown injuries.

Helicopters responded to an injured Holliston woman Tuesday evening, according to inital scanner reports.  The 42 year-old woman was described as having injuries suffered from falling. MedFlight units picked up the injured woman from a Central Street landing zone  Stay tuned to Holliston Patch for updates.
