Santa Parade will Affect Local Traffic on Dec. 1

On Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013 at 4 p.m., the town of Milford will be having its annual Santa’s Parade.  

The parade begins from Medway Road (RT 109) at Veterans Parkway (near Friendly’s Restaurant) travels west and left onto East Main Street (RT 16) and finishes at the intersection of Main Street at Congress Street (Post Office).  

The parade maybe over one hour long and traffic will have to be delayed until the end of the parade therefore it is strongly recommended that motorists traveling this route between the hours of 3:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. seek alternative routes and avoid the area of the parade path.  

Those motorists traveling the parade route during the parade can expect lengthy delays especially the following roadways:

• Medway Road (RT 109) east from direction of Medway
• East Main Street (RT 16) east from direction of Holliston
• Cedar Street (RT 85) north direction of Hopkinton
• Main Street (RT 16) west from direction of Hopedale

Spectators are also urged to arrive early in order to find available parking and avoid traffic delays and streets closings and or detours that begin around 3:30 p.m.
