Hopkinton Boy Killed in Wednesday Accident Identified
Officials have identified the 13-year-old boy killed in a car accident Wednesday.
The 13-year-old boy killed in a car accident while riding his bike Wednesday has been identified as Shayne Desroches of Hopkinton.
The boy was struck while riding on Route 85 at around 5 p.m. on Wednesday. The 16-year-old female driver stopped at the scene and was taken to the hospital as a precaution, said Stephanie Guyotte, a spokeswoman for District Attorney Marian T. Ryan who confirmed the identity of the boy killed in the accident.
She said the investigation is ongoing and it is unclear whether there will be any charges. She could not confirm whether or not Desroches was wearing a helmet when he was hit by the car.
